What can I expect from a Spark summer?

Top-Notch Training

Our incredible faculty provide hands on training to students every day in a variety of tailored classes structured to strengthen student's technique for maximum success on stage. Our faculty is a mixture of working artists, academics, and established teachers giving your student well rounded approaches to techniques and material. Learn more about our teachers.

Customized Classes

Students customize their daily schedule by perusing our course catalog and signing up for the classes that excite them. This way each student's schedule is personalized to their own needs and passions. Students can expect hands on training in both classes and rehearsals, as well as classes tailored to improve skills essential to each show.

Broadway Connections

Students get to work side by side with Broadway and professional actors from across the country in classes and rehearsals. Broadway actors are cast in each show just like your student, giving each student the chance to share the stage and learn from some of the finest performers in the nation!

Personal Attention

At The Spark we believe that one-on-one attention is the biggest catalyst for student's growth. That's why we limit our cast size to no more than 25 students. Say goodbye to being hidden in a crowd of 50 from a camp that just wants your money. We promise that each student will receive personal attention throughout the production process, and plenty of visible/featured stage time.

Winner of the Tony and the Drama Desk Awards for Best Book, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee has charmed audiences across the country with its effortless wit and humor. Featuring a fast-paced, wildly funny and touching book by Rachel Sheinkin and a truly fresh and vibrant score by William Finn, this bee is one unforgettable experience. An eclectic group of six mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the tweens spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life un-affirming "ding" of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller leaves! At least the losers get a juice box.

It’s the first day after winter break at East High. The Jocks, Brainiacs, Thespians and Skater Dudes all find their cliques. "I love The Spark because it gives my child so many options to develop as a performer. She has utilized the dance classes to learn technique and private lessons to prepare for auditions.  The Spark has become an important part of our family."

"His skills and abilities have grown tremendously, as has his sense of responsibility  and his self-worth. As a non-profit, I appreciate that The Spark welcomes all regardless of financial means, with opportunities for scholarships and work exchange. They are dedicated to the arts in Boulder, and I am so happy that our family is part of something special."

"As an eight grader my granddaughter, joined Spark in the fall and has found it a great challenge and support for growing her natural talents. Performance nights she leapt to a new height.  Half the front row was friends, cousins, aunts and uncles.  She was flawless and we were....proud and grateful!"

"We had an amazing experience at The Spark! My teenaged daughter did a show there and we were so impressed with the professional, yet supportive, training and opportunities she had.
