Training For All Levels

We are dedicated to comprehensive training in a safe and supportive environment. Our teaching artists have diverse backgrounds in the arts; working artists, academics, and established teachers. Age and level recommendations, are just that; if you have questions about what Spark Programs are the best fit for your student, learn more about who A Spark Student Is.

Mentorship Model

Spark students are already passionate about theater arts and they are excited to train. Our program structure allows them an intimate learning environment and flexibility in their busy schedules.

Flexible Tuition

Our Flexible Tuition model is based on the principle that a person's financial commitment should be proportionate to their financial resources. It eliminates the categories of "scholarships" and "financial aid" and replaces it with a model that empowers you to determine what you are able to pay. The Spark is committed to being an inclusive and safe space for all who create. Learn more about this unique model.

Summer at The Spark

Summer Main Stage
  • Registration based programs guarantee students a space. Auditions are used to cast roles within the production.
  • Consolidated rehearsal period of 2 to 4-weeks. Evening rehearsals. Rehearsals are called vs set daily hours. Not all actors are required at every rehearsal. We work hard to respect your time and therefore rehearsal schedules are created and distributed early. We accept rehearsal conflicts prior to auditioning. No conflicts are allowed during tech week. Major conflicts may impact casting, but we're open to discussing solutions.
Tech Theater Crew
  • Registration based programs guarantee students a space. Open to students of all levels.
  • A hands-on tech curriculum with class time, open shop, build days, and crew assignment(s) on one or both of our Summer Main Stage productions.
  • This program is 4 or 5-weeks. Afternoon and evening classes & rehearsals primarily. Students also have the option to take the Tech Skills Intensives without being assigned to a crew.
