2024-25 Programs

The Spark offers a unique theater arts training experience centered around mentorship. All our productions and programs operate under this unique mentorship model, where adult mentors and students collaborate closely, training, rehearsing, and performing side-by-side.

Spark Programs are recommended for students with some previous theater experience and who are 10+ years of age. For newer students or those ages 5-9 years, we recommend checking out programming by our collaborating company; Boulder Performing Arts Company.

We invite you to explore our program model page and review our student qualifications and expectations before registering. Our Spark Admin Staff is always available to provide additional information and assist in best placing your student in the program that will help them achieve their individual goals.

Rep Company Members will have access to one-on-one mentorship with a Spark professional. Mentors are assigned based on each individual students’ goals for the year! The Company meets once a month on, typically on Tuesdays from 5:30-7:00pm for mentor check-ins and workshops in various areas of performance. In addition, the company attends local and regional performances and hosts community-building events.

This year, we are thrilled to introduce a new focus to Rep Company beyond our usual community-building activities. Rep Company will help students prepare for auditions, applications, and adjudicated events such as ThesCon, College Auditions, School Auditions, and more. Students will work closely with their mentors to choose materials, receive personalized feedback, rehearse, and build confidence. Additionally, our meetings will include outings and workshops that enhance this learning giving students tools, materials and confidence to achieve their performance goals! We can not confirm this, but we are working to take students to Colorado ThesCon in December and host a Rep Company Trip to NYC at the end of May!

With contemporary characters, ingenious plot twists, and breathtaking visual effects, the play is a fresh look at a timeless love story. -- Open to all levels. The timeless enchantment of a magical fairy tale is reborn with the Rodgers & Hammerstein hallmarks of originality, charm and elegance. Originally presented on television in 1957 starring Julie Andrews, Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella was the most widely viewed program in the history of the medium. Its recreation in 1965 starring Lesley Ann Warren was no less successful in transporting a new generation to the miraculous kingdom of dreams-come-true, and so was a second remake in 1997, which starred Brandy as Cinderella and Whitney Houston as her Fairy Godmother. As adapted for the stage, with great warmth and more than a touch of hilarity, this romantic fairy tale still warms the hearts of children and adults alike. -- Open to all levels! This production will have a large ensemble, offering opportunities for students at all levels to shine & grow.
