How do we use our body to tell a story? Break down the basics of storytelling through movement. Focus on setting, character, environmental elements and plot. This class will also lay the framework for verbal techniques we explore throughout the season in other program opportunities.

Week night classes overlap with musical rehearsals. Students can register for the later class AND the musical!
Spring Classes
Classes will be held in-person in our open-air space. Masks will be required. Class capacity is 10 students.
Whether a veteran actor or a new performer having an understanding of safe stage combat is a key skill! In this class, we will cover a variety of different styles of stage combat from hand to hand combat to working with tools.

Based on best-selling children’s classic by Natalie Babbitt and adapted for the stage by Claudia Shear and Tim Federle, Tuck Everlasting features a soaring score that will delight and challenge students. This is a class based performance opportunity for young and/or new performers. Students will learn foundational skills in acting/vocals/dance that they will showcase as part of the full scale company musical Tuck Everlasting! This structure is great for young dancers looking to step into musical theater or young performers who may not be ready for the full commitment of the company musical, but want to be a part of The Spark! This class offers all young performers the opportunity to grow both in classes and onstage. As with all programs at The Spark these performers will benefit from a welcoming support structure where professionals and students perform side-by-side!
