At The Spark we continue to innovate, sometimes this means throwing back to classic performing arts techniques and making them relevant for today. This winter we are excited to produce our first radio play. A radio play is a dramatized, purely acoustic performance, it challenges the performer to convey character only by voice; a meticulous skill. This performance of A Christmas Carol will feature an intensive component where students will study voice over performance with the talented Alicia Leeper and rehearse with working commercial professionals. The end result will be “a visual force in the psychological dimension” that allows the listener to imagine the story through dialogue, music, and live sound effects presented as a live streamed audio broadcast.
