The Spark aims to connect students, adults, and families through the arts in a safe space. This summer classes are going VIRTUAL. It's an opportunity to expand what comprehensive training can be. Our dynamic online classes will have students focused on technique development and nurturing their creative process.

Tech Theater Crew will train and build (the sets and their craft) for 2-weeks. Students will participate in BOTH Tech Skills Intensives: Scene Shop & Theater Technology where they will learn set construction, scenic painting, light and sound operation and so much more. Plus they will participate in Build Days where they will work side by side with professionals to install sets, run light hangs and focus, and more. Then the Tech Theater Crew will work together as assigned members of Main Stage Productions’ run crews. Tech Students are welcome to participate in Intensives for Performers this summer too!
Tech Theater Crew is an application-based comprehensive tech program for aspiring theater technicians. Tech Theater Crew will train in Tech Skills Intensives 4 days a week for 6 weeks learning skills in set construction, scenic painting, operating lighting and sound and so much more. (4) Fridays will be dedicated Build Days for set builds, light hangs & more. The Tech Crew will work together all summer as assigned members of Spark productions’ run crews. Tech Students are welcome to participate in Intensives for Performers this summer too! Advanced High School students may apply to be student Leaders in Training (LITs) in our tech program. If accepted, LITs will get to learn directly from our technical staff but also get the opportunity to assist the staff in leading workshops, applying more advanced skills and grow and hone their skills as a leader.
Each week you are connected to your class through a calendar invite and direct Hangout link! Please be sure that when registering the Registrant Email provided is the one you (or your student) will use to log into the class. Classes are taught live. Miss one - don't worry we record them for playback later too!
Our levels and ages are there to provide a guideline and point of reference for registration. If you believe your student should be in a class that contradicts the level or age listed, please reach out to us.
